Packaging hell

I nipped out this lunchtime to buy a new set of headphones to use with my Nintendo DS (yes I am a sad gamer) after spotting a pair in the HMV sale yesterday.

Luckily I decided to check them out before I left for home this evening, becuase I never would have got them out of the blister pack without a strong pair of scissors - surprisingly something I don't actually carry with me on the train.

I initially tried to open the packaging myself, but after nearly bursting a blood vessel I decided against it and resorted to the scissors. Even then it was hit and miss whether I would make it out with all my digits intact as sharp plastic kept sticking into my skin.

Whoever decided to use this ridiculous packaging for electronic products should be hung, drawn and quartered.

Or at least made to open one of their inventions without the aid of a sharp implement.
